It was a special week at GameChanger headquarters in New York City earlier this month, as more than 225 teammates gathered to celebrate 2024 successes and look ahead to the future of the #1 youth sports app.
“GC Connect is a fantastic way to bring the group together around the core values that define us —customer obsessed, team players, empowered, ambitious, and focused,” said GameChanger president Sameer Ahuja. “As a remote-first company, carving out time to connect beyond our day-to-day work is essential to strengthening our culture, learning more about one another, and building deeper relationships.”
The team enjoyed a number of inspirational sessions including a Q&A with super users, a keynote address with Moneyball’s Billy Beane, and panel sessions with the GameChanger executive leadership team.
“Time together is always so invigorating!” said Olivia Thurman, senior content manager. “I appreciate the effort and investment made to bring everyone together for educational and inspiring programming. The company goes above and beyond to make it a memorable experience.”
The team also focused on giving back with an afternoon spent donating bikes and sporting equipment to local non-profits, beautifying a local baseball field, and leading local high school students in coding activities to encourage STEM education and build confidence in young learners.
The week concluded with a celebration at TAO in midtown Manhattan where team members enjoyed quality time, food, and music.
GameChanger teammates gather annually for GC Connect in addition to opportunities throughout the year to partake in conferences, events, and activities. Teammates have the choice of working remotely across the country, or from the brand new, modern office in Manhattan.
