We’ve all had that moment where you’re on the field or in the gym prepared to live stream and realize the internet connection is spotty — or worse, there’s none at all.
We know these situations are unpredictable and stressful, and we heard you! We built a feature to give you peace of mind — introducing live stream and record to device. Now you can confidently capture full resolution game video without any interruptions due to internet quality or cell service. Forget the uncertainty and stress of streaming on game day and focus on what matters most — capturing the game.
When you hit the red Record Video button and choose your device as the video source, you’ll see two new options: live stream and record to device and record to device only. Both of these options allow you to record the game and save the recording to your camera roll. Then, once you’re back to a place with strong internet connection, you can upload the full event video to GameChanger.
When using the live stream and record to device option, please make sure your device has enough available memory otherwise your recording will not save — a good guideline is 10-12 GB of storage on your device to record a game. Please note: if your internet connection is stable your live stream will automatically be saved on GameChanger.
This feature is currently in beta and is free for Team Staff and any Confirmed Team Members who have broadcast permissions. Read more about this feature in the Help Center.
